It can improve your balance and posture, making everyday activities easier and more difficult ones (like running and cycling) less challenging. It focuses on core strength, breath, precision of movement, and correct alignment. Pilates classes can be taken either 1:1 or as a duet and are led by Katie Donnelly, Maria Dieser, Erin Donohue and Veronique Caubel. Pilates can be practiced on “the” mat, Spine Corrector and on equipment.
The Pilates equipment (Reformer, Tower, Chair, Ped-i-pul) employs spring-based resistance to create muscular strength and tone without building bulk.

My name is Madhu and I am graduated from Thomas Jefferson University’s in May 2023 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have a younger brother who lives in Philly and two parents who live in the Lehigh Valley with the most beloved family member- our dog Dobby! I really enjoy the little things in life- snuggling with my dog, sitting in the sun, trying new recipes, watching trashy reality TV with my friends, and I’m currently trying to get back into painting.

Nearly 18 years ago, I was diagnosed with postpartum depression while pregnant with my first son. I went to therapy and was intermittently on different medications, all while working as a bartender and server. I decided to go back to school to establish myself in a new profession, and as an attempt to heal my depression. I always had an interest in nutrition and dietetics and I knew that I wanted to be of service to the people in my community. After a five-year educational journey, I became a registered dietitian. Working in the field of dietetics made me realize that it is difficult to discuss a client’s diet without also considering other factors that contribute to their behaviors and lifestyle choices. I knew that to be truly effective, I would have to go deeper into the lives of my clients.

My own habits began to change around this time. I began to exercise more frequently and to practice yoga daily. I recognized that my depression decreased as my spirituality grew. It was clear to me that training to become a yoga teacher and reiki master would enable me to better support my clients. I personally utilize yoga, reiki and other wellness tools to stay connected and grounded. These life changes have impacted my wellbeing in ways beyond what I thought possible and I hope to share them with you. I remain open and am in constant training to faithfully grow and evolve.

My intention for Enliven Wellness is to serve in a way that allows for me to live out my true purpose, and form a connection where the client knows they are seen and heard. Namaste.
